Dr. Kacem Ayachi holds master and doctoral degrees in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also holds a master’s degree in French from the University of Oklahoma.
Before joining Richland College, Dr. Ayachi served as an adjunct instructor in U.S. federal government, taught Texas politics at Collin College and Brookhaven College and was a lecturer and teaching assistant in political science at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he taught courses in comparative politics, international relations and Middle East politics.
Dr. Ayachi’s research focuses on comparative politics, democratization and public support for democracy. He is the director of Richland College's Institute for Global Citizenship and serves as member of the Global Education Development Advisory Council. Dr. Ayachi is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
