Transfer Criteria

Planning to transfer from a college of DCCCD to a four-year college or university? Make sure you choose a school that meets these 10 important criteria for ensuring a smooth and successful transfer process.

The college/university should:

  1. accept associate degrees and certificates
  2. accept at least 60 credit hours
  3. adhere to the catalog under which the student enters studies
  4. accept credits from all instructional modes
  5. require no general education beyond 60 credit hours
  6. publish selection criteria for limited-access programs
  7. provide equal opportunity entry into limited-access programs
  8. publish a webpage detailing the DCCCD transfer process
  9. provide student transfer data
  10. provide a clear review/appeal course-transfer process
