Fall Sports Prepare for Tournament Season

Founded in 1938, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), is an association of community college athletic departments across the nation.

The NJCAA is divided into 24 regions, with Region V representing 28 colleges throughout Texas and New Mexico. A handful of these 28 colleges will move forward to compete in the district championships. Those names are being decided as we speak.

Men's Soccer

Tonight (Oct.18), two Dallas Community College teams will compete for the title of NJCAA Region V Champions: the Richland College Thunderducks and the Mountain View College Lions. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Richland College.

Teams will play a best-of-three series. The winner will move to the NJCAA 2016 Division III Men's Soccer District Championship (location TBD). Then, finally, a district winner will progress to the NJCAA 2016 Division III Men's Soccer National Championship in New York.

Currently Richland Men's Soccer is ranked #1 in the nation.
